Okay, I just saw the movie “Wanted” and I think I got my money’s worth. As I left the theater, I heard a few people complaining about the violence and implausible fight scenes, but is this anything new with action flicks? Going into the movie I fully expected to see this amount of gore and fantasy-duels just as I’d seen it in countless other films. If I wanted to see depth and substance, I’d see a drama. If I wanted to see counter-cultural absurdity, I’d see a comedy.
Wanted just fulfilled it’s expected role: gun fights, chase scenes, and enough twists to keep me awake.
